The brothers of Columbia Lambda Phi Epsilon were glad to participate in this year’s Columbia Community Outreach. Columbia Lambda Phi Epsilon was assigned to a project that involved helping build a community garden in the Bronx. After a long day’s work, the brothers were able to help prepare the garden to host many different types of flowers to brighten the entire community. ECBR 2013

3/31/2013

The brothers of Columbia Lambda Phi Epsilon met up with other Lambda Phi Epsilon chapters from around the East coast and the South for the East Coast Brotherhood Rally. This year’s ECBR was held at Rutgers University where brothers helped clean communities in New Jersey that were affected by hurricane Sandy. The weekend also consisted of many other activities such as a basketball tournament and brotherhood field Olympics. Overall, the weekend was fun for everybody, and hopefully the communities affected by hurricane Sandy will recover as quickly as possible.

Ramen Night

Lambda Phi Epsilon held its first Ramen Night this past week. Featuring savory Shin ramen, the philanthropy event held three ramen eating competitions: four-person relay, pair, and individual as-fast-as-you-can-eat contests. All proceeds were donated to Camp Kesem, an organization designed to give children with parents who have cancer a chance to get away for a week-long retreat.

Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive

11/2/2012

The brothers of Columbia Beta Theta Pi and Lambda Phi Epsilon continue to host a supplies drive to benefit those who were affected by hurricane Sandy. Columbia students are encouraged to donate water, food, blankets, and other necessities to make the difficult times a little less difficult. The drive has successfully transported multiple ambulances full of supplies to lower Manhattan and affected parts of Queens. All the brothers are glad to be part of such a giving and selfless Columbia community that helped thousands of people who needed to be evacuated because of the hurricane.
